A fake web note circulating on social media claimed that the examination had been postponed, leading to confusion among aspirants. However, APPSC has confirmed that this information is false and has filed a police complaint for criminal prosecution against those responsible.
APPSC Group 2 Mains Exam Schedule and Mode
The examination will take place today in two shifts:
- Morning Session: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM
- Afternoon Session: 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM
The test will be conducted in offline (OMR-based) or Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, depending on the candidate's preference. Hall tickets for the exam have already been released on psc.ap.gov.in.

92,250 Candidates Set to Appear for the Exam
According to reports, 92,250 candidates are eligible to appear for the APPSC Group 2 Mains Examination, which is being held across 175 exam centers in 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh.

"As per para 15.8 of Notification No. 11/2023, the Commission will take the preferences of candidates once again for various posts after the conduct of the Main Examination, before preparing the selection list."

On Friday, Andhra Pradesh HRD Minister Nara Lokesh acknowledged the concerns raised by candidates regarding the examination date. He assured that all possible solutions would be explored in consultation with legal experts.
"I have received several requests from Group 2 aspirants to postpone the examination. I understand their concerns, and we will explore all possible avenues to find a solution," Lokesh posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Despite the ongoing discussions, APPSC has confirmed that the exam will proceed as scheduled.
